There is nothing like a mother-daughter bound. No matter how hard it can be is always rewarding. I am so incredibly grateful to be a mom. There are no perfect moms. We try to give our 100% percent, so we always do the best we can. This time is for creating memories with our children. I love creating memories with Maia matching our clothes because one day I know she will find this lame and I don’t blame her. That’s why today I wanted to share our Mommy daughter Valentine’s fashion.

One thing I wish could be change in the world is moms judging other moms, and others (like family and friends) judging moms. Even though, I can’t change the world, I can be better with those who are around me. I’ve been into very lows, felt like the worse mother ever, and needing a little break. It’s ok to feel all that. We then see our children smiles and everything gets better. Mom’s love is unconditional.

Moana DIY Birthday: Maia’s 2nd Birthday

Moana Birthday

See the light where the sky meets the sea, it calls me. No ones knows how far it goes… Maia turned two, and we celebrated with one of her fave movies (and mom’s).

Aue, aue, We set a course to find, A brand new island everywhere we roam! I can’t believe Maia is two years old. A few weeks back we celebrated her second birthday. So, I chose Moana because: (1) we love it, and (2) is one of Disney’s latest movies. There are little to none Moana birthday merchandise in stores, so I took the challenge to create Moana DIY birthday. Many of the things, of course, were a little pinspiration!

You know one thing? My mom did so great on those paper flowers. I only did a few. Not to mention, she also did the cake, and cookies. I wanted to create something simple, yet beautiful, and something memorable. We received our guests with fresh coconut water. The water is sweet inside! I guess that is one of the perks of living in the Caribbean, they were a total hit!

We celebrated Maia’s first birthday too, and I have to say I was so happy because this time she really had fun. She got to play with friends, and cousins. We also gave goodies bags to the children who celebrated with Maia.  Finding Moana merchandise is so hard, but Amazon is the pot at the end of the rainbow. I had so much fun creating this Moana DIY birthday! I might be planning her 3rd birthday.

Stay tuned because I will be sharing the Moana candy label this upcoming month!
