Moana Birthday

Aue, aue, We set a course to find, A brand new island everywhere we roam! I can’t believe Maia is two years old. A few weeks back we celebrated her second birthday. So, I chose Moana because: (1) we love it, and (2) is one of Disney’s latest movies. There are little to none Moana birthday merchandise in stores, so I took the challenge to create Moana DIY birthday. Many of the things, of course, were a little pinspiration!

You know one thing? My mom did so great on those paper flowers. I only did a few. Not to mention, she also did the cake, and cookies. I wanted to create something simple, yet beautiful, and something memorable. We received our guests with fresh coconut water. The water is sweet inside! I guess that is one of the perks of living in the Caribbean, they were a total hit!

We celebrated Maia’s first birthday too, and I have to say I was so happy because this time she really had fun. She got to play with friends, and cousins. We also gave goodies bags to the children who celebrated with Maia.  Finding Moana merchandise is so hard, but Amazon is the pot at the end of the rainbow. I had so much fun creating this Moana DIY birthday! I might be planning her 3rd birthday.

Stay tuned because I will be sharing the Moana candy label this upcoming month!

The weekend is over, and I’m looking forward until the weekend again to be at home with my family. I know I’ve been lately into too much Disney but I can’t help it. Today I decided to share with you this Minnie mommy and me fashion. It really is fun looking to match with my girl. In some years this will be so cheesy to her.

Two items I got on my recent Disney trip were this Minnie Uniqlo top (is on sale right now!), and this sequined Mickey hat. I wanted this hat so bad! It was almost at every store, and every kiosk selling hats. I wanted it so bad but then I found it on a gift shop for less, and I was so excited. It is not common to see Authentic Disney Parks items for less. So, I got Mickey’s sequined hat quickly.

I thing I enjoyed planning our Disney vacays were the outfits. I plan to continue creating more outfits, even though Disney is far ways from us. So, prepare to see more Disney around here.

Is there something you love from Disney? I would like to know! Every now and then I continue to share more Minnie mommy and me fashion.

How to save hundreds at Disney

How to save hundreds at Disney

I saved the best for the last. One big myth about Disney is that you need to have lots of money to go. Today I’m busting that myth. It is possible to go to Disney in a budget and while there you can save too. If you decide to go on a budget is super important to plan ahead, and is still going to be magical. I am right now kind of planning my next trip. That’s how much I love Disney! So, today I’m giving you tips on how to save hundreds at Disney.

1- Plan with ahead of time

Start early with all the planning. Where are you going to stay, how will you travel, and buying tickets. Chances are you might find a great offer. Also, if you plan with time there’s no need to rush.

2- Travel off season

We love to travel on Summer but many others do so. Travel off season and you will save more. Some of the lowest time at Disney are Spring after Easter, early June, and November before Thanksgiving. Plus, with low crowds you will enjoy more the parks.

3- Compare prices in other sites

Don’t just go with the first offer that appears. This time we decided to buy our tickets directly from Disney because they were cheaper. Let me explain, we asked at a local travel agency, and the difference was sixty dollars more. That’s a lot!

4- Travel in groups

If you travel in groups you can divide the total between all the members, and you will pay way less. Not to mention, you will still have the same accommodation.

5- Take food

At Disney you can take food with you into the parks. You will spend a whole bunch of less comparing buying food in the parks. Also, eat before you enter a park.

6- Don’t buy water

There’s no necessity in buying water. Just ask at a Disney counter service restaurant for ice water, and viola! Free water at the parks.

7- Prepare for different weather

The first thing that come to our minds about Florida is sunny weather. But, there are some chances while at Disney of rain. Buy $1 ponchos and keep them in your bag. Is better to spend $1 than $10 Disney poncho.

8- Use military discount

Military discount is the best! Have a military in your family? Cordially invite them. My dad is a veteran, and I can’t wait to use his discount. Learn more about military discount here.

9- Use FastPass

FastPass is free! (in case you didn’t know) If you use fastpass you’ll maximize your time at the parks, and you enjoy more your day.

10- Collect free souvenirs at the parks

There are some things that you can collect as souvenirs at the parks for free. Some are celebration buttons (a classic), stickers, or maps, just to mention a few.

11- Get free photos

If you can’t buy the memory maker, you can ask Disney photographers to take a picture with your camera, and they will gladly do so. That way nobody is left out of a pic

12- Buy toys in advance

If you go with kids buy some Disney toys in advance. If they behave that day in the park tell them Mickey will leave something at their hotel room.

13- Buy souvenirs outside Disney

If you want to buy some souvenirs for friends or just for you go outside Disney. At Florida you can find Disney stuff everywhere. In gift shops or even Walmart or Target you will find Disney stuff for less.

14- Take your stroller

Skip the stroller rental, and just take your stroller with you.

With these tips you will sure save hundreds on your Disney Vacays!  Hope you liked these tips on how to save hundreds at Disney. What other tip do you have?
